The 2014 Job Vacancy Report was recently published by the Department of Advanced Education and Skills. This report is designed to help Newfoundlanders make informed decisions regarding their education and future careers. Some of the information contained in this report include statistics on in-demand occupations and job vacancies in our province.
Notably, this report contains information relevant to Canadian Training Institutes past, current, and future students. In 2014 one of the most commonly posted job ads were for Truck Drivers! What this means for our students is that there are many options for individuals who train on tandem or transport trucks.
Furthermore, the construction, transportation and warehousing, and mining oil and as extraction industries were named as three of the top job posting industries in the province. These industries have employment opportunities for students who enrol in our Heavy Equipment, Commercial Driver, or Tandem Truck programs.
